Refund policy

Scope
This policy applies to purchases made through Game-Codes-Shop, including digital game keys, activation codes, software licenses, downloadable products, in-game currency, account-based products, subscriptions, preorders and physical merchandise.
Digital Products
Digital products are delivered electronically by email. They cannot be physically returned.
Once a digital code, key, download link, license, account credential, digital entitlement or other digital content has been delivered, revealed, allocated, accessed, redeemed, activated or downloaded, the order is non-returnable and non-refundable, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Where legally required, immediate digital delivery begins only after the customer expressly requests immediate performance and acknowledges that the applicable right of withdrawal may be lost once delivery begins.
Mandatory rights relating to defective, invalid, unavailable or misdescribed digital products remain unaffected.
Non-Refundable Digital Orders
A refund is not provided solely because:
- The customer changed their mind after digital delivery began
- The wrong platform, edition, region, language or version was selected
- The customer did not meet clearly disclosed device, account or compatibility requirements
- A valid code has already been revealed, redeemed, activated, transferred or shared
- The customer entered an incorrect email address
- A platform account is restricted, suspended or otherwise unavailable for reasons unrelated to the supplied product
- The customer no longer wants or needs the product
Invalid or Defective Digital Products
Contact us promptly if a digital product is invalid, previously used before delivery, unavailable, materially different from its description or cannot be activated despite meeting all disclosed requirements.
We may request the order number, complete error message, screenshots, platform response and other reasonable information needed to verify the issue.
After verification, we may provide a working replacement, corrected delivery, restored access or a refund, depending on the issue and applicable law.
Account-Based Products
Account-based products are delivered by email with the access credentials and instructions described on the applicable product page.
Whether account information, passwords, recovery details or linked information may be changed depends on the product-specific instructions. Customers must not change recovery details or other credentials where the product instructions do not expressly permit this.
Support or refunds may be refused where access is lost because the customer changed credentials contrary to the supplied instructions, shared the account, violated platform rules or otherwise caused the loss of access, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
Physical Products
Game-Codes-Shop does not provide a voluntary change-of-mind return right beyond the rights required by the law applicable to the customer.
Where a statutory withdrawal or return right applies, the customer must notify us within the legally required period and return the product within the applicable legal deadline.
Returned products must be complete and securely packaged. The customer may inspect a product only to the extent reasonably necessary to determine its nature, characteristics and functioning. Any legally permitted deduction may be made for diminished value caused by excessive handling, use, damage, missing parts or incomplete packaging.
The customer bears the direct cost of a standard return unless applicable law requires Game-Codes-Shop to bear that cost.
Physical Return Exclusions
Where legally permitted, return or withdrawal rights may not apply to:
- Personalized, customized or made-to-order products
- Sealed goods that are not suitable for return after the seal has been removed for health, hygiene or safety reasons
- Sealed audio, video or software products that have been unsealed
- Products that deteriorate or expire rapidly
- Products inseparably mixed with other goods after delivery
- Other products excluded from return by applicable law
Damaged, Defective or Incorrect Physical Products
Inspect physical products after delivery. Contact us promptly if an item is damaged, defective, incomplete or different from the item ordered.
Include the order number and clear photographs where possible. We will provide an appropriate replacement, repair, return arrangement or refund and will bear reasonable return costs where legally required.
Subscriptions
Cancelling an automatically renewing subscription stops future renewals according to the Subscription Policy. It does not automatically refund charges already processed or amounts due during an agreed minimum term.
No partial or prorated refund is provided for unused time in a paid billing period unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Preorders
A digital preorder cannot be cancelled after a code has been allocated, revealed or delivered, except where mandatory law requires otherwise.
If a product is permanently cancelled by the publisher, developer, platform or rights holder and we cannot fulfil the order, the affected preorder will be refunded.

Refund Processing
Approved refunds are normally submitted to the original payment method within 10 business days after approval or, for physical returns, after receipt and inspection of the returned product.
Any shorter mandatory legal deadline remains applicable. The payment provider or financial institution may require additional time to display the refund.
