Squad Game Modes

Like all FPS games that deserve recognition, Squad brings multiple game modes. The game is divided into servers, so you have to choose the one you're going to get in based on the game mode you want to play. These servers will be changing maps and, sometimes, the game modes. Basically, Squad is divided into two types of modes: Capture Points and Objective.

Capture Points Game Modes

Capture and Secure 

The objective here is to conquer control points, also denominated as flags. Capturing one of them guarantees more tickets to your team and penalizes your enemies simultaneously.

Skirmish

The objective is the same as in Capture and Secure. The difference is that this time, players are thrown in a trimmed-out section of the map, making everything occur on a smaller scale.

Random Advance and Secure

The objective is the same as in AAS, but the flag layouts will be random and different every time you play the mode. 

Invasion

In this mode, a defending team starts with all the flag zones in the game. The invasion team must conquer all the zones following a specific sequence. Defenders win if they can keep the zones, whereas attackers claim the victory if they conquer them all.

Objective Game Modes

Destruction

In this game mode, players will again be divided between attackers and defenders. Here, the attackers have 200 credits and must destroy the defenders' caches before running out of credits. In turn, the defenders have 1000 credits, having to hold on to their positions and caches.

Insurgency

In this mode, caches randomly spawn on the map. The objective is to destroy them. The insurgent team has two weapons’ boxes, with the coalition receiving information about where they are about 4 to 6 minutes later.

Territory Control

Here, the map is divided into hexagons. Each team has its anchor hexagon, with the objective to control as many of them as possible. Note that to control any hexagon, they must be connected to your anchor.

Factions and Squad Divisions

The game supports up to 100 players on the battlefield, which means that the plan is to have 50 vs. 50 PvP authentic combat experiences with larger-scale coordination. All squad members have a crucial role, including the squad leaders and their special abilities. That said, each squad features:

• Automatic Rifleman
• Medic
• Grenadier
• Light Anti-Tank
• Marksman

As with any other quality FPS, Squad has a well-defined faction system, each one bringing exclusivity and unique features. Besides, there are unconventional factions, such as the Canadian armed forces. That said, the game’s squads are:

• Russian Ground Forces
